International CPM Ads Now Available Through WidgetBucks

CPM ads for non-U.S./Canada traffic have successfully launched on WidgetBucks! This solution gives publishers the opportunity to earn revenue, per impression, for traffic that comes from countries other than U.S. and Canada.

In order for publishers to begin earning this international CPM (cost-per-thousand impressions) revenue, they will need to replace existing code with new WidgetBucks ad code on their sites. To update your widget(s), simply click "Copy HTML" within the "Customize Your Widget" page for that widget and re-paste/replace the code block into your site. The updated code -- which has been greatly simplified and reduced in length -- can also be replaced directly into the Blogger, TypePad or WordPress blogging platforms.

CPM impressions and revenue results will be displayed starting tomorrow, Wednesday (12/12). The CPM rate will vary depending on the geographic location of your site's visitors. CPM revenue -- along with PPC and referral revenue -- will be updated daily and available by noon Pacific Time the following day.

Once your widget code is updated, here's how it works: At the time a user visits a page containing the widget, we will sense the geographic location of the visitor. If they are in the U.S. and/or Canada, the user will see the normal WidgetBucks widget. If the user is outside those two countries, then our system will determine a country-specific CPM ad to display. We are currently working with advertisers covering hundreds of countries and offering thousands of creatives to ensure optimum monetization.

Also on Wednesday, publishers will see an updated MyWidgets page that will provide easier consumption of reporting data, including tabbed areas for all three revenue streams -- and PPC, CPM and referrals. This new interface provides a breakdown of PPC and CPM impressions, expanded referral data, and integrated blog headlines so publishers can stay more informed of network updates and changes. Click here or on the screenshot at right for a preview.

As written November 29, we continue to look into additional solutions, including pay-per-click links to global merchants. These solutions tend to require more time to deploy so we appreciate your patience as we work on those.

- Dean

P.S. Now's your chance to vote for WidgetBucks in the Open Web Awards on Mashable!

Great news. I love these improvements.
It is good to be part of a high quality program like this that beats all other networks.
With the CPM ads now in place we can all earn regardless of where are visitors are coming from.
Keep up the fantastic job!

Dean, mind sharing the CPM rates?
That's what we are all interested to hear!

Mind posting a table with countries and $x/CPM?

If you can't, at least tell us what's the minimum and maximum CPM we can expect.
Also, i'm interestred in Romanian CPM ratio...

Thanks

I don't want to have to jump upon the WidgetBucks is a scam bandwagon but is there anyway to get in touch with Widgetbucks. I have tried the support system on their site and nope. Tried sending the same email to all of their email addresses and nope. I evenm tried calling them from Northewrn Ireland )I would have apid for the call) and nothing?

Do they exist? Strange but valid question?

Cheers

i hope you can post CPM rates and country table soon.

I think a feature where we can set our own default ads would also be good.

I have one question: Are Non-English sites accepted now?

jungl said...

No impressions yesterday? I know that you are a new site, but there are too many bugs at the moment.
I'm seriously considering on pulling the ads from my site.

jungl said...

Never mind. I pulled the ads after seeing one of those "You are visitor number 10.000" ads.

Thanks, this is great, because my site http://www.skymu.ro has visitors from almost 70 countries, I copied the new code it works perfect but the information in my account hasn’t been updated in 2 days, why?

Same here, im having a problem with my stats updating, not showing any new impressions or revenue changes...Why is this?

Thanks,

Edward Tobia.

They've obviously been changing things around behind the scenes as some screen grabs of layouts that I took show features for reporting that are no longer available.

As I understand it there isn't any "live" reporting of stats anymore - I presume down to "horsepower requirements" and that everything is now reported historically once a day at midday PST so will update at whatever time that is locally. With us here in the Uk that means 8.00pm GMT.

hi, my widgetbucks ads stopped appearing since I added the 'new' widget code.
When will the ads start appearing again?

any information for INDIA

Dean Jutilla said...

Issues with updated widget code should be resolved by now. Also, I've just posted an update on int'l cpm reporting (we're posting this information tomorrow). PPC reporting data should also now be currently after experiencing some delays tied to the addition of CPM into our system. - Dean

All, I've just posted a Q&A on International CPM on our blog: http://widgetbucks.blogspot.com/ Many of the your questions can be answered through that. - Dean

OK I am having fun and games with the new code snippets . They are just calling up the correct ad units. I have two sites about Flat screen television, one older than the other. The ads I want to see on my blog are like this (link to screen grab showing what I'm getting and what I want to get) http://www.wordsthatwork.name/articlepics.htm

Can someone please explain why the code confusion.

LWHBP said...

Howcome when I try and log a support request I enter my question and information then click on the "when done" option or whatever and it then takes me to another page where it asks me to create an account (which I then do) using my existing Widgetbucks ID then it tells me the account is not valid as the email address is already in the system! Do I have to register two different email addresses one for my main account and one for support?

LWHBP said...

OK just worked my way through some more information on Widgetbucks and sussed out that as I am in the UK then I am no longer going to see the widgets (unless I view via US Proxy) and that US and Canadian Traffic are going to see the widgets ok?

I know I know, Tech support are probably muttering "why the hell didn't he read the Q&A first etc" - sorry guys. Keep up the good job my ROI with Widgetbucks is approximately 400% up on my adsense so far!
