One of the concerns we've heard from many of you has been the slow loading times of our widgets. We really appreciate your feedback and comments in helping us improve in this area. So, today we addressed this issue by rolling out new code that ultimately delivers faster loading widgets.
It is very important to note that this update will require action on your part. You will need to update code of your existing widgets for the speedier load times to take affect on your site, blog or network. Know that changing the code will not impact earnings for any of your widgets.
Here are the two steps you'll need to follow:
1. Sign-in to http://widgetbucks.com and go to My Widgets
2. For each active widget, simply edit and re-copy the code block into your site or blog (the same steps you went through when you created the widgets originally)
One option for updating your code is to utilize new categories and/or new ad sizes we've incorporated recently. Modifying a widget with either of these -- or creating an entirely new widget -- will generate the new code that can then be re-copied to your site or blog.
Keep in mind that action is only required if you are experiencing slow loading times on your widgets. If you are satisfied with the load time, then no action is necessary on your part.
Also, if you have questions specific to your WidgetBucks account, email us at help [at] widgetbucks [dot] com. We will do our best to back to you within 24 hours. If you have a general comment or need something clarified that can help you and perhaps other publishers, feel free to post a comment on this blog.
Thanks again for your feedback.

So...
Do you HAVE to change your code or only if you want the faster loading widgets?
@jefferson: you only HAVE to change the code if you want a faster loading widget. if all is working fine for you, then there is no action required. hope this helps. Dean
This was great news, i had that problem.
but the main problem is that the gadget block's the page wile he charges, isn't possible to load the gadget whitout "blocking" the page ?
would be perfect.
exemple: open a page and scrool down, wen you get the place were the gadget is, the page simply stops...
Still sucks.
... says "loading" for almost 4 secs.
Great improvement. So much faster now.
No waiting for it to load so should help my clickthrough.
i've changed the codes on my "heaviest" site and noted a Great improvement very much faster now.
well Done, congratz :o)
But still "block's" wen loading...
As some above said... can't you make a feature of this wonderful widget to begin loading in the same time with all the items on the page, regardless if the widget is placed somewhere down on the page.
It always blocks the scrolling until it loads completely. So i think if you can make it load from the beginning there wouldn't be this "bug".
COOOL this is what Im searching for ;)
coool but if only WidgetBucks make payment through westernunion that would be better than adsense ;)
this is my site mates ;) :

enjoy
just updated the code, but don't see much difference at all. these are the best looking ads i've seen in a while, but if they don't load before a user leaves or clicks on something else. then there's no point to it.

Do I still get paid for the clicks if the same people go through my site to make the purchase. Once a person clicks the link, will I be credited for future clicks from them?
One thing you really have to fix is the fact that your javascript has problems with some other javascript and the ads dont load. Here's an example.

We’re having really good success and thank you for your efforts. We’ve been waiting for a more “deal” like set of ads that were interactive – we also think the ads add real value when readers come to the site. The deal automation was always difficult – and now readers have a reason to return.
Great stuff.

Is there anyway that the "loading..." message can be avoided?
ie, the ads load instantaneously?
It takes around 5 to 10 secs at times to actually load the Ad!
Can Any thing be done?
team, good improvement. but i still have question, to change the code have 2 choice. 1 - update the current code and change. 2 - delete the old code and change to new code. The question is :- 1- How to trace back revenue from the past link code? 2- When i delete and change to new widget code, all past record gone, do widgetbucks still pay me for that past code link revenue? myismail004
it shows no improvement to me..
please help...

I have a phpbb forum but i cant add the ad code to the forum...it dont appear there and the forum looks wierd....can anyone help me with that..?
Dean said in another post that WB have reached 25 million impressions in 7 days.So even 10% click ratio u take, it will be 25,00,000 clicks.Minimal pay for click is $0.11 for us.So if the ad people are giving them $.50 for a click,WB will be getting $12,50,000 in a week which is a very good/huge amount for any company,in which $2,75,000 belongs to us.Also ther is no gurantee for any payout. It is given only after 45 days.So with bank interest for 45 days the $2,75,000 will be double in 45 days time.
WB is getting this much of money because of our effort and our time,so there lies responsibility for WB to ensure gurentee for this $2,75,000 to be paid to us, since we people live in some other country we cannot fight for justice in US.
So.......?? Any response from Dean??
Has anyone got paid by widget bucks please share your proof to boost my confidence ;)
